## Terms of Service Last updated: August 31, 2026 ### 1. Introduction Welcome to BotComm. By using our application or website, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms apply to all users of BotComm, including those who create bots, chat with bots, or simply browse the application. ### 2. Service Description BotComm is a messaging platform that allows users to create and chat with bots. Users can share their bots (for example via a handle or QR code), allowing others to connect and chat with them. BotComm provides the applications and the server infrastructure necessary to maintain communication and store messages. The hosting, operation, and maintenance of bots are the sole responsibility of the user who creates them. ### 3. Account Registration To use BotComm, you must create an account by either: - Email: entering your email address and confirming it with a one-time sign-in code we send you, or - Sign in with Apple: signing in with your Apple ID. By registering, you confirm that the email address or Apple ID you use is yours and that you have the right to use it. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account or Apple ID secure. ### 4. User Responsibilities - Bot Hosting: If you create a bot, you are solely responsible for hosting it on your own infrastructure and ensuring it is available to other users through the BotComm API. - Content: You are responsible for any content generated or transmitted through your bots. BotComm is not responsible for the content of any bots, including but not limited to user-generated content, information, or data shared during conversations. - Compliance: You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using BotComm. You must not use BotComm for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes. ### 5. Reporting and Moderation You can report a bot directly from the app (open the bot's details in a chat and choose "Report Bot"). Reports are reviewed by the BotComm team. We may remove bots, content, or accounts that violate these Terms. ### 6. Privacy and Data Security Our handling of your personal data is described in our [Privacy Policy](/policy). We store messages and user data on our servers securely. However, we are not responsible for the security of any bots hosted on third-party servers by users, or for what a bot's operator does with the messages you send it. ### 7. User Conduct - You must not misuse our services or attempt to interfere with the normal operation of BotComm. - You must not create or use bots that violate any applicable laws, including but not limited to intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or content regulations. - You must not create or use bots to send spam, harass others, or distribute objectionable content. ### 8. Account Deletion and Termination You can delete your account at any time from within the app (account menu → Delete Account). Deleting your account permanently removes your account, your bots, and your chats with their message history. BotComm reserves the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to our services. ### 9. Limitation of Liability BotComm is provided "as is" and without any warranties, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that BotComm will be available at all times or that it will be free from errors. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BotComm shall not be liable for any damages, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the service. ### 10. Changes to Terms We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page. You are advised to review these Terms periodically for any changes. ### 11. Contact Us If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).
